Electric actuator
Extremely flexible, powerful and compact, our electric actuators are specially designed for industrial applications. The linear drives are based on a heavy-duty, peeled ballscrew and are equipped with a robust aluminium profile with versatile end/drive blocks and grooves integrated into the profile. This enables simple, direct and flexible mounting. When it comes to the motor connection, you can choose between an inline and a parallel connection. With a stroke that can be freely selected in millimetre steps and a wide range of accessories, you can customise the electric actuators directly in our product configurator. Electric linear actuator - liteECO® INTEGRATED series
The SMELA liteECO® series is the most compact electromechanical alternative to pneumatic short-stroke cylinders thanks to its patented arrangement of motor and mechanics. This makes them ideal for the many linear movements required in production lines, machine tools or packaging systems. A servo motor including positioning sensors enables the movement of simple to complex profiles: for fixing, adjusting, locking and travelling any type of movement. The highly efficient motor saves up to 90 % energy compared to pneumatic systems. Together with the smart arrangement of the mechanics in the motor, the actuator saves up to 80 % installation space compared to existing electrical solutions. The liteECO® series also offers the option of simple refurbishment. The replacement of a worn mechanics is extremely simple and helps the actuators to achieve life cycles: sustainable, cost- and resource-saving. In addition to the servomotor and linear mechanism, the LE-INTEGRATED actuators have an integrated drive controller based on 24 volts and optionally on 48 volts. They are controlled via EtherCAT, CANopen or digital IOs. As with the BASE series, many of the advantages of electric drives are supplemented with essential features for high industrial requirements and packed into the smallest possible installation space. In addition to sealing to protection class IP65, conventional M8 and M12 circular connectors have been integrated in the A, B, L and Y coding’s. The maximum stroke is 85 or 115 millimeters, whereby any positioning within the maximum stroke is possible without restriction.

Electric-pneumatic gripper RPW-Hybrid
The IPR Hybrid parallel gripper combines pneumatics and electrics and provides the best of both worlds: Full pneumatic gripping force meets precise pre-positioning and stroke sensing by the electric motor. This enables your robot to reliably move even complex geometries that previously required several work steps. Precise pre-positioning of the gripper jaws significantly minimizes cycle times, while simultaneously applying a gripping force of up to 1,550 N thanks to two compressed air pistons. Various electrical interfaces such as EtherCat, Ethernet/IP, digital I/O, etc. enable the gripper to communicate directly with any robot controller or PLC.

In comparison to typical pneumatic gripper, energy reductions in the range of typical 80% could be realized. Another very positive aspect is very often the much lower noise level of such electrical gripper. However, the biggest advantage offered by electrical gripper due to their absolute free programming in terms of positioning and gripping force. To meet all these needs, IAI offers a new generation on servo-presses which are available with thrust forces in between 20 N and 50 kN as well as stroke lengths in between 100 mm up to 520 mm. Precise press processes The force control required for the precise press process is included in all models by a load cell on the thrust rod tip. This load cell makes highly-precise positioning control possible, which means easy pressing force adjustment and position control. The repeat accuracy is +/- 0.01 mm to allow full and precise control of the full movement and positioning. The application software offers two selectable control modes: speed control or force control. Moreover, the stopping method can be chosen from four stop conditions – "position", "stroke", "load" or "incremental load".
