    1. ST series safety sensors with RFID technology

ST series safety sensors with RFID technology

ST series safety sensors are suitable for the monitoring of protective devices on machines without inertia and allow the system in which they are used to reach a safety category up to SIL 3, PL e and Category 4. These sensors use RFID technology and provide high protection against any manipulation thanks to a unique code transmitted by the actuator. Since they have no mechanical elements, they guarantee a long service life even in applications with frequent operating cycles and under harsh environmental conditions. Their protection degree is rated IP67 and IP69K and they mantain the maximum safety level PL e, even when connecting up to 32 sensors in series. It is possible to choose among 3 kinds of actuators with different fixing and actuating directions. This means that the sensors can be installed on all types of machines and guards, both large and small.

    2. Stainless steel assembly system (EMS)

      Stainless steel assembly system (EMS)

Smart stainless steel assembly system (EMS) for frame structures in the food industry and in clean rooms Stainless steel is the material standard for installations in clean rooms, for filling, packaging and conveying systems in the food industry and for all areas which are at risk from corrosion. As a specialist for niche products for these fields, we have now developed stainless steel connection elements which can be used in conjunction with special clamping technology to assemble and disassemble frame structures made from square or round tubing in the common size 40 quickly, reliably and without the need for specialist knowledge

    3. stainless steel enclosure specially designed for the mounting to profile rails

stainless steel enclosure specially designed for the mounting to profile rails

„Our new stainless steel profile enclosure combines high demands as to design, flexibility and functionality", says Wolfgang Zoll, sales manager of Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co. KG. The enclosure is based on a robust square profile made of 2VA stainless steel with a wall thickness of 2 mm and has been designed in a way that no screws are visible on the enclosure front side. The small-sized construction in a width of 40 mm exactly fits to each standard profile rail so that there is no overlapping and both - the enclosure and the profile rail - become a perfect unit. Besides, the stainless steel enclosure blends in harmoniously into different applications thanks to its reduced space saving height of only 40 mm. Also, relating to the mounting onto the profile rail the new solution scores: It just has to be put on and is being fixed by slot nuts with self-locking screws. In case a direct mounting to the wall is required, Schlegel also offers suitable solutions. For the equipment of the enclosure with 1 - 6 actuators customers can choose from the whole Shortron control unit range. The assembly is done by Schlegel in-house, upon delivery the stainless steel enclosure just has to be mounted to the profile rail. For the optimum adaption to individual requirements Schlegel is offering two connecting systems: For enclosures with 1 - 3 actuators via M12 connector and for those ones with 4 - 6 actuators with cable gland. The access to the enclosure is given via the bottom of the housing. Customised versions On request, Schlegel offers the new enclosure concept with customised equipment. Also in this case customer can choose from the whole Shortron control unit range. Beside the standard of up to 6 actuators it is also possible to get a versíon with more than 6 actuators, also in customised designs - up to a maximum length of 100 cm is possible. As an alternative, an additional enclosure concept with an extremely small size of 20 mm is planned.

    4. Stainless steel servo gearmotors from the PSH..CM2H.. series

Stainless steel servo gearmotors from the PSH..CM2H.. series

Drives with the CM2H.. stainless steel servomotors have been specially designed for use in applications in the food industry, beverage production, and pharmaceutical industry. These are three industries with extremely high hygiene and cleanability requirements. Whether for aseptic filling systems for milk products or beverages, cutting machines for sausage or cheese, or filleting machines for fish or meat: SEW-EURODRIVE represents top-notch flexibility, longevity, and reliability. No edges and corners: Your solution for the highest hygiene standards Our stainless steel servo gearmotors from the PSH..CM2H.. series with a hygienic design meet the strict guidelines of the European Hygienic Engineering Design Group (EHEDG) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration With a roughness below 0.8 µm and radii greater than 3 mm, the servo drives' housings have an exceptionally smooth surface and neither have rough edges nor any horizontal surfaces. Due to this high demand for longevity and easy cleanability, the compact units consisting of the synchronous servomotor and planetary gear unit are resistant against hot steam and corrosive cleaning agents As a result, they are perfectly suited for clean-in-place (CPI) and sterilization-in-place (SIP) processes. With the intention of making them quickly and easily cleanable, the stainless steel servo gearmotors were developed to withstand high-pressure cleaning, even at high temperatures and with chemical cleaning agents. The drives reach a degree of protection of IP69K.

    5. Standstill monitor UG 6946

      Standstill monitor UG 6946

Safe sensorless standstill monitoring The safe sensorless standstill monitor UG 6946 from the SAFEMASTER S series detects the standstill of 3-phase and 1-phase motors independent of the direction of rotation. This means sensors such as encoders or proximity switches are not required. Access to the danger zone of a system is only possible by the enabling signal of the standstill monitor after the drive has been switched off and run down. In order to detect a standstill, the remanence voltage induced by the motor windings is evaluated and provides safe standstill monitoring up to Cat. 4 / PL e or SIL 3, even if the motor has already been switched off. Using a conventional release via a time control, dangerous movement could not necessarily be excluded. For the implementation of different operating modes, the standstill monitor UG 6946 also offers the possibility of bridging the standstill monitoring (muting). The simple integration into the machine and drive concept reduces the commissioning effort and costs and is particularly suitable for use in machine tools and woodworking machines, centrifuges and rolling drives. With a width of only 22.5 mm, the UG 6946 can be accommodated in the control panel even under tight space conditions allowing easy retrofitting. The device also offers two redundant safety contact paths and a forcibly guided signal contact.

    9. Strain Gauge Sensors

      Strain Gauge Sensors

Strain gauge sensors - high-precision monitoring of static and dynamic deformations and changes in material structures. Load - Strain - Torsion - Bend - Force - Movement Strain gauges are metallic-electric measuring elements that precisely measure forces, loads, torque, etc. in dynamic and static processes. Strain gauges operate based on the physical effect by which the electrical resistance of a measuring grid changes proportionally to the strain exerted on the wire when stretched or compressed. Long term measurement, continuous or peak monitoring - due to their structural design strain gauge sensors are suitable for permanentely detecting of movements in minimal dimensions. Deformations result from the effects of forces and, even at microscopic levels, can have devastating effects on the operation and safety of machines and systems. Sensors for controlling stretches and compressions permanently and reliably monitor these minimal anomalies, even in harsh and mobile environments. The most outstanding feature of the strain gauge sensors from PULSOTRONIC is the precise, custom-fit adaptation of mechanics and electronics to the customer application. For this type of measurement task it applies: the more precise the adjustment, the more optimal the signal output. As an add-on feature, we offer flexible parameterization via optional digital interfaces.
