… this is how long it takes to use this 83 metre long escalator - the socalled Tube - which transports visitors of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg up to the 37 metre high plaza. According to the Finnish company KONE, this two-lane, convex-shaped escalator is “the longest escalator in Western Europe and worldwide the only one curved this way”. Whether the Tube is moving or not may only be decided by authorized employees who have the key to the Kraus & Naimer control switch (including a key locking device) at the bottom of the escalator. This helps to make sure that the Tube is not accidently switched on during repair work. The AM UP6 is an electro-pneumatically driven stripper-crimper designed for the efficient processing of loose insulated Z+F wire ferrules. Its high flexibility regarding cross-sections and crimp lengths allows this machine to handle approximately 90% of the insulated wire ferrule variants encountered in control system construction and wire assembly. The machine processes nine freely selectable cross-sections ranging from 0.25 mm² to 6.00 mm² (AWG 24-10) with crimp lengths of 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm. A minimum insertion length of 25 mm plus the crimp length is required for processing.

The electrically driven wire stripping machine offers precise and convenient processing in the range of 0.05 – 6.00 mm² (AWG 30 – 10). It combines a compact design with intelligent control and high user-friendliness.
