KEYENCE's ER series of inductive proximity sensors can be surmised by three core strengths: maximum flexibility, maximum detection stability and minimum effort in design and maintenance. The long detection distance provides an extra "safety margin" in the machine design and reliably compensates for design deviations. Shielded models can be flush mounted in metal without any loss of detection performance. Thanks to compact sensor heads available in an all-metal design, the ER series integrates easily
even into tight installation spaces. Optimized detection algorithms ensure that dust and metal chips do not affect detection, even with vertical installation. Factor-1 detection delivers virtually identical detection distances for aluminum, iron, stainless steel and copper, greatly simplifying material selection for machine components. For particularly demanding environments, all-metal sensors with IP68G or IP69K protection and weld-resistant versions with a ceramic coating are also available.
