Moving heavy boxes was yesterday. Modern workplaces in industry shine today with ergonomically optimized solutions for smooth processes. This is exactly where item Industrietechnik GmbH from Solingen is at home – pioneer and global market leader in modular systems for industrial applications.

As a current development, item is presenting a system workstation from the item Lean Production modular system with height-adjustable work levels and connected mobile robotics. The goal: internal logistics of the highest efficiency. The implementation: As if by magic, a transport trolley - moved by an AGV - rolls to the intended workplace. With the help of a shuttle system, material boxes are retrieved from an automatic small parts warehouse, recorded and conveyed to the picking station via a conveyor belt. The trolley docks directly at this picking station.

Central role HMI
The work table is raised or lowered to the optimal position via the KN-C Plug & Play touch panel. To do this, Kraus & Naimer programmed the connection to the item BL 1-04/C controller – the servo controller for item servo motors.
