The Danfoss iC7 Aqua is a series of frequency converters specifically designed for the water and wastewater industry, from drinking water supply and desalination to irrigation and industrial water treatment.

Water-specific features include dry-run protection, end-of-curve detection, and a gentle pipe-filling mode to prevent water hammer and consequential damage. Integrated multi-pump control allows for the control and monitoring of multiple pumps via a single converter, while flow compensation and sleep mode automatically reduce energy consumption at low loads. Combined with intelligent demand control, this enables energy savings of up to 50%.

For sensitive networks, the ULH (Ultra Low Harmonic) variant is also available, reducing network disturbances to below 3% THDi. Hardware-based cybersecurity, including a crypto chip, protects the system against unauthorized access, while condition-based monitoring provides early warnings of potential malfunctions and helps prevent unplanned downtime.
