The Kraus & Naimer GmbH stands for the development, production and sale of switching devices since 1907. The load and main switches with the striking phi trademark can be found all over the world, where trade and industry put demand high technical quality and durability.
With headquarters in Vienna and currently six factories, the company stands for technical solutions in the fields of mechanical engineering, control cabinet construction, conveyor systems and systems for power generation and power distribution, and much more.
With Kraus & Naimer Controls (KN-C), the company also switches to new opportunities and concepts for industry 4.0.

NEW! Kraus & Naimer KA-series: reliable & flexible

The KA switch combines the advantages and functions of the already established KG and KH switch family in a new product series. The compact main and repair switch was specially developed for machine tools, distribution and control cabinets as well as all areas where high reliability is required in the application. The large connection space enables the connection of different cable cross-sections with finger-safe IP 20 terminals. The KA series is currently available with screw connection, products from the series with ring cable connection will be available soon. Through the approval according to international standards of our products and our global service network, we are the first point of contact for control- and switch disconnectors worldwide.

K&N switch series KG/C316

Main switches fulfill the function of connecting or disconnecting system components or equipment or machines to the power supply. A design has been established for main switches in which the three poles of a three-phase alternating current supply are switched simultaneously within a particularly compact construction. There are also four-pole versions for applications in which the neutral conductor is also switched, whereby the neutral conductor contact opens and closes with a time delay. Main switches are load-break switches and have a high switching capacity in relation to their size. The compact main switches from Kraus & Naimer have force and positive opening guidance of the switching contacts both when opening and closing and are embedded in a comprehensive modular system with numerous functional extensions and additional devices. Function Kraus & Naimer main switches are mains isolating devices that disconnect machines/systems from the supply or mains supply. Mains disconnecting devices must be provided with a locking device in order to be able to lock them in the off position.

With the brand new snap-on module for the Kraus & Naimer KA40 and KA63 main switches, phi by Kraus & Naimer is laying the foundation for sustainable optimisation and smart data collection. Consisting of two components, Kraus & Naimer presents an innovative solution for recording and optimising energy consumption. Real-time monitoring, wireless communication and intuitive visualisation make phi by Kraus & Naimer the ideal choice for retrofits and new installations. DAT.KA* or DAT.SA measurement modules The measurement (DAT) module is available in two versions, both of which have configurable LED indicators and transmit data via radio. Collection of measurement data such as contact temperature (DAT.KA*), current, voltage, power and energy. COM.GW.500 communication module The communication module (COM) serves as a gateway for up to 16 DAT measurement modules and acts as an interface for transferring measured values to higher-level systems. Web user interface Web UI The local web user interface is used to display/analyse the measurement data and to configure the COM module and DAT modules. phi is compatible with energy management systems in accordance with ISO 50001 and supports the implementation of legal requirements as well as internal company sustainability strategies.
