AEM August Elektrotechnik GmbH
About us
Since 1980, AEM August Elektrotechnik GmbH has been developing cross-industry solutions for mechanical and plant engineering – from general industry to the automotive industry and its suppliers.
As a full-service provider, we support our customers from the initial idea through to specifications, CAE planning, software development, switchgear construction, and installation, right through to commissioning, operator training, and handover of the electrical equipment. We ensure long-term, trouble-free operation of the system with our customer-specific maintenance services.
The focus is on our four closely interlinked product areas:
With our automation, we implement integrated control and monitoring technology for stable and sustainable processes. With our LogiQ process control system, we connect the field and control levels with the management level and create transparency for production, energy, and key figure recording – as a practical “MES light.” The mechatronics division combines drive technology, mechanics, and control systems to create turnkey complete solutions; this also includes our AMR fleet for intelligent, autonomous intralogistics. Specialized developments such as our AuxQ for laboratory applications demonstrate how our expertise can also be applied in sensitive and highly specialized environments.
This results in networked, scalable solutions that we use to shape the production of the future together with our customers.

LogiQ Automation Systems
LogiQ Automation Systems stands for customer-specific automation solutions in mechanical and plant engineering – for both new and existing plants. We plan, program, and implement control and automation systems that work in practice: robust processes, clean safety concepts, stable drive and sensor integration, and a user-friendly interface. We think across industries and transfer proven solutions to new tasks – without unnecessary complexity. For new plants, we develop scalable automation concepts including documentation, testing, and commissioning – tailored to your processes, your standards, and future expansions. For existing plants, we retrofit existing technology to a future-proof level in a controlled manner: from analysis to migration and modernization to recommissioning – with the aim of minimizing downtime and making the plant maintainable and expandable in the long term. Manufacturer-neutral, cleanly structured, and implemented in such a way that service and expansions remain plannable later on. The result: faster commissioning, less risk during conversions, higher plant availability – and automation that grows with your production.

LogiQ Mechatronic Systems
LogiQ Mechatronics stands for turnkey mechatronic solutions – from the initial idea to the productive plant. We develop and integrate systems in which mechanics, robotics, sensor technology/image processing, and automation work together seamlessly. The goal is not “technology for technology's sake,” but measurably better processes: greater flexibility, more stable quality, and less manual effort in production and intralogistics. Among other things, we implement robot-assisted handling and assembly applications, end-of-line testing and inspection systems, and flexible conveyor systems. A central component is mobile robotics: we plan and integrate autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and driverless transport systems (AGV), including fleet concepts, safety architecture, and connection to production and IT structures. The result is intralogistics that grows with your business – and material flows that adapt dynamically to orders, bottlenecks, and layouts. The result: modular, practical mechatronics solutions from a single source – for greater throughput, greater process reliability, and manufacturing that can respond flexibly to new products and variants.

LogiQ Data Information System
LogiQ is a data and information platform for networked production – independent of manufacturers and systems. It connects machines, systems, and processes with the IT level and makes production data usable in real time: from visualization and data acquisition to evaluations, key figures, and reports. This creates transparency regarding performance, downtime, quality, energy consumption, and machine status – and thus a reliable basis for better operational decisions. LogiQ connects common automation and control systems via established industry standards and also integrates into higher-level systems such as production planning or enterprise software via databases and web interfaces. The system has a modular design and grows with you: from a single line to a plant-wide solution – if required, also in a fail-safe, redundant architecture. The result: consistent data transparency, fewer isolated applications, cleanly integrated processes, and measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and energy.

AuxQ - Robots for supporting employees in the diagnostic laboratory
AuxQ delivers manufacturer-independent, autonomously operating robotic solutions that seamlessly integrate a wide range of analytical instruments. The robots navigate the lab without requiring structural modifications and handle tasks from pre-analytics to device operation, post-analytics, and archiving. With full integration into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), they become part of an intelligent workflow management system, enhancing efficiency, minimizing errors, and ensuring high-quality diagnostics. This advanced technology boosts both efficiency and reproducibility, while helping mitigate skilled labor shortages. AuxQ particularly empowers laboratories in clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and immunohematology to increase their competitiveness in a dynamic healthcare landscape.
